Pick Me! Pagosa Plant Exchange The first plant exchange sponsored by Mountain High Gardeners will take place at the Farmer¹s Market August 15th, Saturday, 9am-2pm, at the corner of Highway 160 & Piedra Road. Gardeners will be bringing various plants that will grow in our area. The free exchange of plants will take place from 9-10am, and then all remaining plants will be available at only $1 a pot with proceeds going to the garden club. Pick Me! Plant exchange is a one day only event. Our exchange is open to new and experienced gardeners all over town! We would love to get a few new people excited about growing things here, and we know there are lots of gardening lovers that could share their knowledge and experiences. So come one, come all. Bring a friend too! Bring seeds from your plants that thrive in Pagosa. These can arrive in any form, and we will help you put them into small envelopes or bags so that many people can share them. Print out copies of planting instructions to include with the packages if you would like to. Full size plants, seedlings or cuttings should be planted into a container at least one week prior to the exchange to ensure they will thrive when they are moved to their new home. We will have labels that can be applied to containers to help identify your exchange plants. Please include info to help ensure that its new home provides proper sunlight and water requirements. Thank you to our generous co-sponsor High Plains Gardens. Bonnie & Larry Sprague will bring fruit trees that our area can support and will hold a raffle to win one! They can be reached at 883-4600 900 County Road 331 Ignacio CO 81137 More about Garden Club we meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10am at the county extension building. Our recent projects include planning and plantings on Lewis Street. It¹s an all volunteer group open to the public. Our president is Shelley Frye. Proceeds benefit Mountain High Gardeners.
