
Adult softball leagues in full swing
This year's adult softball began Tuesday at the high school ball fields with three games in the men's division, while action in the coed league begins Monday.
Team managers who have not yet obtained schedules should call Andy Rice, recreation supervisor, at 264-4151 Ext. 231 for information regarding the date and time of their team's first game.
League schedules are available at the recreation office and are also posted on the recreation department page at www.townofpagosasprings.com.
Managers are reminded that team registration fees are $250 and due prior to the start of each team's first game. Individual player fees are $30 and due prior to the start of each player's second game. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Town of Pagosa Springs.
Hooked on Fishing
The recreation office is now accepting registrations for this year's "Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs" program, which will be held Mondays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. from June 29 through July 26 (location to be determined).
Registration cost is $25 and includes usage of fishing poles, bait and flies for those in need, plus drinks and snacks. Participants are welcome to bring their own fishing gear, as well. Insect repellent and sunscreen will also be made available.
Registrations are available at the recreation office in Town Hall, and can also be downloaded through the parks and recreation department link at www.townofpagosasprings.com.
Registrations should be submitted to the recreation office; checks and money orders should be made payable to the Town of Pagosa Springs.

Youth tennis
Registration for the July session of youth tennis is now full. For more information on this year's program, contact Andy Rice, recreation supervisor, at 264-4151Ext. 231.
Fireworks donations
The recreation department is accepting donations for this year's Fourth of July fireworks show.
Donations in any amount will be accepted; checks and money orders should be made payable to Town of Pagosa Springs.
Donations should be addressed "Attention: Fireworks" and mailed to P.O. Box 1859, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. If you would like to make a cash donation, please do so in person at the front desk in Town Hall.
