Friend--
Yesterday, Vice President Joe Biden visited Colorado to highlight how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is putting people back to work in high-paying, clean energy jobs in Colorado and across the country.
Together with Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Deputy Secretary of Energy Dan Poneman, we spoke with Coloradans about the job-creating potential of the new energy economy.

At the event, Vice President Biden announced $500 million in new investments under the Recovery Act that will go to clean energy job training and creation.
This will bring a new momentum to Colorado's clean energy economy, creating new jobs and helping to find new ways to power our homes and businesses.

After a great town hall discussion, we joined local residents at M&D's for some down home cooking. We discussed these uncertain economic times. Colorado showed everyone how proud we are to welcome Vice President Biden to the state.
It was a great day and a great time. And it really drove home the fact that the Recovery Plan is about you - it's about putting Americans back to work in good-paying jobs that will help Coloradans provide for their families and grow our economy.
Sincerely,

Michael Bennet |
