Elections shouldn't be complicated: Every eligible citizen should be able to register to vote, every registered voter should be able to cast a ballot, and every ballot should be counted accurately.
Unfortunately, as you know, things don't always go that smoothly. That's why Colorado Common Cause is "all hands on deck" to work in support of our program Just Vote Colorado and make sure we can protect the vote.
We're working around the clock between now and Election Day to educate thousands of citizens about their voting rights.
* In Colorado, we're working with community groups and election administrators to resolve potential problems now that could keep Colorado voters from participating. * We're recruiting and training volunteers to assist voters through our call center and at voting locations. * We're coordinating with Campus Compact, a youth engagement organization, to help protect students and first-time voters from intimidation and misinformation.
We've got a strong team on the ground ready to Protect the Vote. But with your help we can do even more.
Let's make sure that this election goes down in the history books for something other than voting mishaps. Thanks for all you're doing to Protect the Vote!
P.S. Have a question about voting? Call the toll-free Election Protection hotline 1-866-OUR-VOTE. It's staffed by legal volunteers who can answer questions about polling place locations, student voting, absentee voting and much more. Keep the number handy in case you have any problems on Election Day. And please pass it on to your friends!
