On the left Thad Cano, fearless leader of the stocking project and head hauler, holds a "small" trout. On the right he holds one of the larger ones.

Thad doesn't just like trout, Thad LIKES trout! This fish was caught and immediately taken to JJ's Upstream Restaurant by manager Kim Brown and cooked. Kim's daughter, Haleigh, brought a sample by the Ski and Bow Rack. As one can tell from Thad's face it was delicious.

I got one too!
 
After a long hard HOT day working my way up and down the San Juan River taking these photos, hey, its a hard job but... I reached into the fridge and found this bottle of ale left from a 4th of July party. Not a bad ale.

When I walk around the ponds and and up and down the river I pick up clues where the next photo-op might be from fishing people. The young men in the area were talking about "the pretty girl at the first pond who got a big one."

While she was posing dad caught another one. Our visiting families are having a superior bonding and fun experience fishing in Pagosa. These are memories that will last forever.

A whooper! Pagosa is stocking some really big trout this year upping the chance of getting a near trophy.
