Pagosa Springs Golf Club offers a challenging 27-hole golf experience. The Pinon Nine and Ponderosa Nine are mountain courses with ponderosa trees bordering the fairway. The Meadows Nine offers the golfer a links-style course with many lakes and good mountain views.

There is a driving range and putting green for practicing. The Pro Shop offers a variety of golf equipment and accessories along with a grill and bar.

Each course has memorable golf holes. On the Pinon course, Hole #2 consists of a very difficult up hill and long par 4 with a sloping green making it the hardest hole on the course. Hole #5 is also a memorable Par 5 that has a fairway that narrows down towards the green with mature Ponderosas bordering the fairway.

The Ponderosa Nine includes Hole #5 that has an elevated tee that demands a straight tee shot. The Meadows course has a great dog-leg left on Hole #5 that is bordered on the left side by a lake and has sand bunkers strategic located. These are just a few of the challeging holes you will play on the Pagosa Springs course. Call for a tee time at 970-731-4755 or visit the Club’s web site at www.golfpagosa.com.

With the recent addition of another nine holes, the disc golf course on the south side of Reservoir Hill is now complete. The course is a scenic and rugged hillside with fairways carved through Ponderosa, Pinons, and lots of Scrub Oak. Dogs and kids welcome. Wear good shoes and bring water.

For as long as weather permits, veteran players and beginners alike can test their skills on the 18-hole course, which occupies roughly 10 acres on the hill’s southwest meadow. Players can access the course by taking Hot Springs Boulevard to Spring Street. From Spring Street, proceed on foot through the gate and look for the first hole on the north side of the meadow approximately one-quarter of a mile up the road. Tee boxes and baskets have been flagged for better visibility.

The recreation office is monitoring the use of the course, and would like to hear comments concerning this location from disc golfers and others who use Reservoir Hill for recreational purposes. Anyone wishing to comment can call the office at 264-4151, Ext. 232. Comments can also be e-mailed to tcarosello@centurytel.net.
