Pagosa Springs Colorado
Wolf Creek 2004-2005 Season Review

Wolf Creek Ski Area had an excellent 2004 - 2005 Ski Season with over 535 inches of natural snow, breaking a snow pack record at 185 inches and a record-breaking skier count of 215,821. The early wet snowstorms made an October 29th opening possible and the incredible season was extended to May 14th. The majority of the snow pack was an anomaly as it was more maritime - like than the light dry powder that is associated with Wolf Creek in sunny Southwest Colorado.

Wolf Creek Ski Area sits on top of Wolf Creek Pass between the towns of Pagosa Springs and South Fork, Colorado on US Highway 160. Unique to Wolf Creek is its pristine location and the ski experience that accompanies an incredible geological environment at 10,300 feet.

Wolf Creek continues to sport its reputation of great early season skiing that is enjoyed by many individuals and families because of the services offered and the quality of the experience.

This season, Wolf Creek offers additional inventory to both the ski and board rental shops. Over 600 pair of adult high performance skis, boots and poles, including the very popular fat skis for those Wolf Creek powder days are available. The children's collection has also been upgraded with 100 pair of shaped skis, boots and poles.

The Boarder Dome, Wolf Creek's snowboard shop has over three hundred and thirty boards in service and expert fitters to expedite setup and service. Whatever your rental needs are, Wolf Creek provides a friendly atmosphere with professional advice and quality equipment.

Wolf Creek is looking forward to another exciting season, offering many different programs and races for every age group and level of skier. Other amenities at Wolf Creek include: ski school, ski patrol, two restaurants, a bar, a picnic building, sport shop, courtesy phones to Pagosa Springs, free parking and shuttle service to and from the parking areas.
