CONTINENTAL DIVIDE PANORAMA
This image is a vista of the Continental Divide and near mountains from the southeast to north east to northwest. The major mountain peaks, highways, forest access roads and trails are shown.

Print this image and use once in the Pagosa area by going up Eightmile Mesa or any high spot. It is the “Menu of the San Juan” as you can compare it with the real view and a National Forest Service map to see the various mountains and valleys and judge where you might like to visit.

DOWNTOWN PAGOSA SPRINGS
The scenery just gets better downtown Pagosa Springs. The beautiful river front just across from the historic main street is a beehive of activity both on and around the river. The Springs Hot Spring Resort is to the right and The Chamber of Commerce is to the left. The hill in the background has a hiking trail system and great views of the surrounding mountains.

NORTHWEST OF PAGOSA SPRINGS: Williams Lake
Beautiful Williams Lake is a reservoir in the high country twenty miles northwest of Pagosa Springs. Sometimes referred to as “The Jewel of the San Juan” it rest in Williams Creek Valley with several foot trails traveling up to the Weminuche Wilderness and the Continental Divide.
